Simple Elixir
I was going through my grandmother’s belongings after her death when I came across this old healing recipe, called “Simple Elixir.” As I read it, I recalled my grandmother making this for me one time when I was a child and was sent to stay with her during the day, when I got ill and had to stay home from school while my parents were both working. This is not intended as medical advice. I am not a doctor, nor a medical professional of any kind, and this recipe is being provided here for informational and educational purposes only. Anyone who so chooses to utilize this recipe does so of his or her own free will and at his or her own risk. Do not sue. Perhaps it was simply the result of a placebo effect, or perhaps the illness had already run its course, I can only tell you that in the mind of that child it indeed appeared to work.
